MFV “Atlantic Challenge”

KER Group were awarded the contract to retrofit 2 x 985Kw Ammonia RSW systems to the KFE owned MFV “Atlantic Challenge”.

Works completed

  • Cutting section of the hull to remove old RSW components
  • Removed old RSW system.
  • Created 2 x new RSW rooms to meet DNV regulations for Ammonia systems.
  • Installed the 2 x 985 KW systems.
  • Removed circulation pipework in the centre corridor and replaced it with Polyethylene pipe.
  • Removed existing circulating pumps and condenser pumps and replaced them with new Desmi pumps.
  • Installed new Gas alarms and extraction fan system as per DNV regulations.

The project was completed in Killybegs Co. Donegal.
